Writing an Annual Letter to my clients is a tradition I hold dear. It forces me to pause and measure not just market performance, but personal growth.
Looking back, 2025 was defined by one word for me: Adaptation.
On the home front, my family navigated significant changes. We welcomed a new addition to the household—which meant shrinking personal space and establishing new routines, but also the joy of home-cooked meals! My eldest son also started Primary School. Navigating this new social structure with him has been a journey in itself. It has been a fascinating experiment to see if my excitement about "using money wisely" resonates with a 7-year-old as much as it does with his dad.
These small but personal milestones constantly remind me why I do what I do: helping families build a secure foundation for the future.
Syfe: A Partner You Can Count On
It wasn't just my household that grew. 2025 was a landmark year for Syfe, reinforcing the stability and security of the platform my clients (and myself!) use:
Profitability: In a volatile tech landscape, I am proud to share that Syfe achieved group profitability in Q4 2025 across all our markets (SG, Australia, HK).
Validation: We successfully raised US$80 million in Series C funding, a testament to investor confidence in our sustainable business model.
Innovation: We launched Syfe's Private Wealth segment, starting with Private Credit and Fixed Tenure Funds to give you access to institutional-grade assets. We also improved our Cash solutions—Cash+ Flexi (USD) internal transfers are now live, and new Bank Linking features make cash flow management seamless. (Gone are the days of manual Portfolio IDs and scanning QR codes; it is all linked now!)
Sharpening My Skillset
To serve you better as a Senior Wealth Advisory Lead, I knew I had to invest in my own professional development. In 2025, I focused on deepening my technical expertise:
Advanced Advisory: I completed the Family Office Advisory Course (Foundation) and cleared CACS Papers 1 & 2.
Continuous Learning: I formally signed up for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification and digested 23 books on market cycles, psychology, and portfolio management. (One book was on parenting, and it proved to be the most challenging one of the lot).
Embracing AI: We are now utilizing AI to handle the heavy lifting of data analysis. I use AI to generate base allocation templates and stress-test scenarios instantly.What this means for you: Faster turnaround times on your portfolio allocations and even more productive communication. By letting technology handle the groundwork, I can spend our meeting time focusing purely on custom strategy and your family’s unique needs.
A note of gratitude: While I do not focus on vanity metrics, I am deeply humbled that the clients and families I serve have entrusted me with significantly more responsibility this year. The total assets under my advisory grew by over 150% in 2025. Thank you for your continued trust.
2026: The Year of Agility
As we move into 2026, we anticipate continued market shifts and periods of heightened volatility. Opportunities will change quickly, and agility will be key.
To support this, Syfe's Advisory team is rolling out an Upgraded Portfolio Analysis Tool.
For Private Wealth Clients: We can now provide a comprehensive overview of all your investments. This allows you to see a personalized summary across your entire net worth, not just your Syfe holdings.
For Everyone else: If you have external portfolios you would like stress-tested, let me know—we can accommodate this on a case-by-case basis.
My Commitment to You
I am doubling down on my niche: helping fathers with young kids navigate the "messy middle" of building wealth while managing a growing family. In this phase, growth is important, but risk management is critical.
